We’re more than just your average bottle depot here at Regional Recycling, we’ll also buy your non-ferrous scrap metals (non-ferrous = does not contain steel or iron).
Non-ferrous metals include:
- Copper
- Brass
- Aluminum
- Stainless Steel
- Lead
- Zinc
Scrap metals are melted down and remanufactured into new products, a process that considerably reduces greenhouse gas emissions and conserves energy and natural resources. Did you know that when aluminum cans are recylced, it saves 97% of the energy it takes to make brand new ones?
Whether your metal is worth a money or not, Regional Recycling accepts all types of scrap metal. However, only Abbotsford, Burnaby and Richmond locations purchase non-ferrous scrap metals.
If you have large quantities of scrap metal that you’d like to sell or just get rid of, please contact the nearest location to you.
[Regi says: The Magnet Test – Here’s a handy trick to figure out whether your scrap metal is worth any money: Grab a magnet and see if it sticks to the metal. If it sticks, the metal is usually not worth very much (with minor exceptions). ]
