Pop & Juice Containers

Now you can keep your kiddos hydrated with peace of mind knowing that you can recycle those containers. Now all you need to do is get them to bring them home from school!

Liquors, Spirits, and Wobbly Pops

This is a type of recycling that British Columbians are used to. Before pickup recycling programs, like Depozip, many would bring their empties to the liquor store for the sake of convenience. However, since you can earn 7 per container it’s like literally throwing money away if you’re not recycling your adult beverage containers. Use this link to find out which of your drink containers are recycled at our depots!

Milk, the new kid on the block

It wasn’t until February 1st of this year that we have been able to accept milk containers for recycling. This is an exciting addition to our BC Recycling Programs. It helps us keep containers out of the landfills and can put more moula in your pocket. This includes any ready-to-drink milk containers whether it is dairy or plant-based! Regional Recycling is proud to work with the Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR) the not-for-profit organization that manages British Columbia’s recycling program for end-of-life major household appliances. Working on behalf of appliance manufacturers and other regulated producers, MARR helps ensure that unwanted appliances are collected, recycled, and processed responsibly across the province.

Operating under BC’s Recycling Regulation, MARR oversees an approved stewardship program that keeps valuable materials in circulation, ensures environmentally responsible handling of hazardous components, and helps reduce waste sent to landfill. The program is governed by MARR’s Board of Directors and is designed to make appliance recycling convenient, accessible, and environmentally responsible for British Columbians.

In addition to Regional Recycling, there are over 200 certified Major Appliance Recycling Roundtable (MARR) collection sites throughout BC that make it easy to recycle responsibly. There is no charge to drop off eligible appliances, and you can be confident that every appliance is processed safely, with recyclable materials recovered and hazardous components handled by licensed professionals.

Hi Nadine, Thanks for checking in on this. Our Nanaimo locations serve Vancouver Island and are not a part of this program. Our bottle depots in the lower mainland of BC provide this service.
