As the temperatures drop, our most vulnerable community members are drastically affected. You can directly help them by supporting our event, The Gift of Warmth. Each year, Regional Recycling accepts new and gently used clothing donations to share with our binner community.

This community is a crucial part of Vancouver’s recycling ecosystem. Without them, tens of thousands of empties would end up in landfills and our oceans. Plus, they are a great group of people who are working hard to make ends meet.

They are our regular customers, neighbours that know us by name, retirees who are saving up for a grandchild’s Christmas gift. Help us give back to them this holiday season.

Please help us by dropping off your donations of:

  • Adult Outerwear
  • Warm Winter Gear
  • Sweaters & Long-Sleeved Shirts
  • Shoes, Gloves & Boots
  • Blankets & Tarps
  • Jackets & Coats
  • NEW: Adult Socks & Underwear
  • Bottles & cans The refunds from these bottles &
cans will be used to buy new socks & underwear for our binners.

We are collecting donations at our Vancouver depot located at 960 Evans Ave until Dec 10th, 2021. Our community will be invited to select the items they need from our donations at our annual Gift of Warmth BBQ.

The Gift of Warmth community BBQ will be on December 11, 2021, from 10 AM to 2 PM. All beef hotdogs and hot apple cider will be served with care as we show our appreciation for the community and try to make their winters just a little warmer this year.

If you don’t have items to donate, but would like to participate, you can donate your beverage containers using our FastDrop return! The money raised through FastDrop donations will be used to purchase new socks and underwear.

If you don’t have a FastDrop account, follow this link to set up your free account today.

Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!

The Regional Recycling Team.
