Are you running behind and don’t have a Halloween costume yet? Here are some simple and fun ideas that you can use to make kids, couples, and family halloween costumes from recycled materials! Skip the store and adding to the waste that gets created with this holiday; it is Circular Economy Month after all!
Who doesn’t remember this classic game? This is great for couples or kiddos. Tetris fans will appreciate the simplicity of this costume design that can be created using cardboard boxes, glue, and paint.
We bet you have some old socks without a mate. Instead of leaving them in lonely purgatory, make them into this adorable costume! The suction cups are rivets off of an old belt, although buttons or paper cut into circles could also work. The legs are stuffed with cotton balls or stuff with other fabric and you can reuse that material again in the future!
This costume is great for kids and adults. Grab that old snorkeling mask, two empty water or pop bottles and some fabric or string. You can paint the bottles any colour you like, and presto! You have some adorable scuba divers who are ready to hunt for buried treasure and candy.
