Baby Octopus

We bet you have some old socks without a mate. Instead of leaving them in lonely purgatory, make them into this adorable costume! The suction cups are rivets off of an old belt, although buttons or paper cut into circles could also work. The legs are stuffed with cotton balls or stuff with other fabric and you can reuse that material again in the future!

Scuba Divers

This costume is great for kids and adults. Grab that old snorkeling mask, two empty water or pop bottles and some fabric or string. You can paint the bottles any colour you like, and presto! You have some adorable scuba divers who are ready to hunt for buried treasure and candy.

We know that Halloween can get expensive and feel like too much work. Skip the pricy costumes that your kids grow out of and try one of these fun and free costumes from recycled materials. What other costumes can be made from recycled materials around your home?

Happy Halloween!
