Want to earn money and raise funds for your community? Start a drive with Regional Recycling We are offering 4 options for your team to fundraise safely and quickly.
⚠️Please note – in every type of bottle drive, please keep glass containers in their cases and place all glass in a separate mega bag from non-glass containers.
1) No Sort Bottle Drive:
The fastest & safest method for a fundraiser. Skip the sorting and allow us to pick up and sort your containers. To offset the cost of no sorting, there is a 3 cent deposit reduction per container.
- Earn a 5% bonus on the total amount of each pickup (for bottle drives over $500) *
- Book your date and time for the pickup, and we provide the supplies at no charge. Supplies are delivered on Thursdays or Fridays, or can be picked up at the depot any time. (We will deduct 1cent per refundable container for supplies dropped the morning of your drive.)
- We will send funds to your account within 10 days after we receive your containers at our depot via electronic payment. **
- To offset the cost of no-sorting, there will be a 3-cent deposit reduction per container.
2) Simple Sort Bottle Drive
Do a little bit of sorting, earn a higher deposit refund – 9 cents per refundable container.
- Separate containers into 4 categories of product:
- Cans
- Glass
- Bag in a Box or Pouches
- Plastic bottles, drink boxes, gable tops and Bi-metal cans (usually juices)
- Earn 9 cents per refundable container
- Earn a 5% bonus on the total amount of each pickup for bottle drives over $500 *
- Book your pickup date and time and we’ll deliver the supplies at no charge. Supplies are delivered on Thursdays or Fridays, or can be picked up at the depot any time. (We will deduct 1cent per refundable container for supplies dropped the morning of your drive.)
- We will send funds to your account within 10 days after we receive your containers at our depot via electronic payment. **
3) Full Sort Bottle Drive: ***
Our traditional bottle drive method. Earn full deposit refund by sorting your containers and booking a pick-up at your bottle drive location.
- We pay full refunds on all containers and offer a 5% bonus *
- We’ll provide full payment for your containers collected within 1 week.
- Book your date and time for the pickup, and we provide the supplies beforehand. Supplies are delivered on Thursdays or Fridays, or can be picked up at the depot any day.
- Remember to sort your glass containers into a separate mega bag and keep them in their original cases.
4) Fast Drop/DepoZip Fundraiser:
Create an account on our FastDrop/DepoZip app. and have your supporters donate to your cause. They can drop their unsorted containers off at any participating depot or have our DepoZip service pick up their containers.
- Once your account is created, your supporters can drop-off their unsorted containers at any location OR
- Your supporters can create a DepoZip account and we will pick up their donations.
- We will keep a running tally for all your fundraising drop-offs and pick-ups and will post to your account.
- You can request payment any time the balance exceeds $25 and your payment will be deposited to your account 2 – 7 days after requesting payment. **

** Minimum $25 per electronic payment transaction.
*** This is the only program that our Nanaimo depots currently offer. Nanaimo does not pay the 5% bonus.
